Attended Sessions simply are any studio session where you attend and are present in the studio with us while we work on your order. These are billed at an hourly rate (in increments of a half hour, with an hour minimum), with parts (such as CD-R masters) billed seperately at a flat price per unit. We welcome and in fact recommend that you attend the mastering session if possible as it allows a more direct line of communication so that we can more guarantee that you will be happy with the results from the get go.
"Online Mastering" or "Unattended Sessions" is where you send in your mixes along with instructions (having everything essential in writing helps us guarantee that all your requests will be fulfilled without delay or confusion). We can work from your reels, discs or files shipped to us - or you can upload your files to our servers via FTP. All online, unattended mastering orders are billed as an all inclusive, no hidden cost, package rate based on the number of tracks (i.e. individual songs, movements, or pieces) plus a charge per minute of total program length.
To give an example of package rate charges:
for a 50 minute long CD with 12 tracks with a CD-R master and reference disc sent via Ground service to your address in the continental US charges would be:
12 tracks x $30/each = $360
+ 50 minutes x $2/each = $100
+ $65 / set of CD-R master and reference disc =
TOTAL = $525
